Chase Holbrook burst onto the national scene in 2006, leading his team as the Aggies starting quarterback in all 12 games. On the season Chase Holbrook finished the year with 4,619 yards passing and 4,541 yards of total offense, both NCAA records for a sophomore and school records for a single-season. He ranked second in the nation in total offense per game 378.4, while leading the Aggie offense to a number two ranking in the nation in passing offense per game with 399.3 yards, third in total offense with 475.1 yards per game, 12th in passing efficiency (155.06) and 15th in the country in scoring offense with 31.1 points per game. Chase Holbrook broke school records for most attempts in a single-season (566), attempts a single-game (73) versus UTEP (9/30), completions in a single-season (396), completions in a single-game (50) against #15 Boise State (10/15), yardage in a singe-season (4,619), most consecutive completions (16) versus #15 Boise State, touchdown passes in a season (34), 300-yard passing games in a single-season (10), 200-yard passing games in a single-season (12), consecutive 300-yard passing games for a career and season (7), consecutive games with a touchdown pass (12), completion percentage in a single-season (.700), passing yards per game in a single-season (384.9), passing efficiency in a single-season (155.06) and touchdowns responsible for in a single-season (38). He also recorded the longest touchdown pass completion and pass completion in school history on a 96-yard touchdown pass to Chris Williams against Idaho (10/7), the most plays in a single-game (80) versus UTEP (9/30), the most plays in a season (589) and the most points responsible for (228). In his collegiate debut, Chase Holbrook threw for 381 yards and two touchdowns against Southeastern Louisiana (8/31). Against UTEP (9/30), Chase Holbrook broke the school record for attempts in a game with 73, while recording his first 500-yard passing game with 506 yards. The 506 passing yards is fifth all-time on the Aggies’ most passing yards in a game list. Versus #15 Boise State (10/15) he recorded his second 500-yard game with 529 and two touchdowns, ranking third all-time for passing yards in a single-game. He threw his third 500-yard game of the season in the final game against Louisiana Tech (12/2) with 514 yards passing, good for fourth all-time. Against New Mexico (9/9), UTEP (9/3) and Utah State (11/25) Chase Holbrook recorded a career-high four touchdowns, breaking the single-season record for touchdowns throw against Utah State on a one-yard pass to A.J. Harris. Over the last four games of the season, Chase Holbrook threw no interceptions in 175 pass attempts. At seasons end he had thrown 179 straight passes without an interception.

Chase spent last season as a backup quarterback at Southeastern Louisiana with coach Mumme. He played in 10 games throwing for 75 yards on 7-of-9 passing.
Chase Holbrook Bio in High School :
A second team All-District selection as a senior and was named team MVP of L.D. Bell H.S., after winning the school’s Fighting Heart Award. Chase Holbrook passed for 547 yards and two TDs in his senior season in guiding Bell to a 5-5 record, while rushing 73 times for 314 yards including five TDs. As a junior, Chase Holbrook passed for 668 yards . His most productive game through the air came in a 29-26 loss to Colleyville Heritage throwing for 212 yards and a score. Chase also rushed for 94 yards on 13 carries in a 40-6 win over Boswell. As a junior, Chase Holbrook led team to its first winning record since 1997 and a playoff appearance. He chose the Lions over TCU, Tulsa, Missouri and Stephen F. Austin.
