Former Aggies tested at pro scout day
LAS CRUCES — Eight former New Mexico State football players participated in the Aggies' Pro Scout Day, displayinh their skills for NFL personnel on Tuesday.
Various NFL scouts were on hand to evaluate former Aggies Justen Alford (linebacker), Marcus Anderson (wide receiver), Chris Buckner defensive back, Marquell Colston (running back), Jamar Cotton (linebacker), Tonny Glynn (running back), Sam King (linebacker) and Jason Scott (linebacker).
The event began in the Coca-Cola weight room where scouts complied measurements including heights and weights before players were tested on the bench press, broad jump and vertical jump.
The assessment moved to the practice field where the players participated in the 40-yard dash, L-Drill and the Pro Agility Shuttle.
Anderson recorded the fastest 40 time at 4.47 seconds. Bucker followed at 4.50 and Glynn finished in 4.52 while other times included Cotton at 4.60 and Colston at 4.63.
